Downtown Vision Questionnaire Results

Earlier this year, the Pinawa Chamber of Commerce launched the Downtown Vision Questionnaire to better understand community priorities for a potential downtown or central commercial area in Pinawa.

Our goal was simple: to hear directly from residents about what they value, what they feel is missing, and what they would like to see as our community continues to grow.

The questionnaire was first made available online in February 2026. As responses began coming in, we recognized the importance of making the survey as accessible as possible. To ensure everyone had an opportunity to participate, we mailed a paper copy of the questionnaire to every household in Pinawa and offered both online and paper submission options.

By the close of the survey in July, we had received 171 responses from residents. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts and ideas. Your feedback provides valuable insight into the community’s priorities and will help inform future discussions about the potential development of a downtown or central commercial area.

One of the final questions in the questionnaire invited residents to suggest questions they would like municipal election candidates to answer. We are pleased to report that every submission has been passed along to the Chamber-led All-Candidates Forum Committee for consideration as they plan the 2026 Municipal All-Candidates Forum.
